History has it that the original throne that was the seat of Shah Jahan had encrusted on it the famous Kohinoor Diamond. Wikipedia says Nadir Shah looted and took the jewels and the throne. Common knowledge we grew up with is that the British took it, along with so much else. The truth is we do not have it any more. :D
